Watkins Design Works was hired by Gat Creek, a wood furniture maker in Berkeley Springs, to provide interior design services for cabins at this state park in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.

This is a 4-bedroom Classic Cabin, built in the 1950’s. With wood on floors, walls, and ceilings, we wanted to provide some contrast by using gray wood finishes and fabrics.
The dot pattern on the chairs reflects the pattern of the knotty pine walls.
Bright green chairs add contrast to a mostly neutral space.
The two-bedroom cabins are cozy, too.
Artwork is a print of a CCC-era painting on display in the park’s event space. The client loved how the green dining chairs match the green trees outside the window…a happy accident!
Bedroom furniture is a lighter version of the wood finishes in the living and dining areas.
